chronicling our travels. After using that site for 17 years, technology changed; it can no longer be updated. Welcome to our NEW SITE which follows our journeys from the Fall of 2016 to present. Our thanks go to Andy Paluch/WebGuyz!
The Forum (originally known as the State Theatre) was built in
1929. It sits on the corner of Flinders Street and Russell
Street. The architecture is Moorish with minarets and a clock
tower. Originally built as a huge movie theatre, it now has
been split into two venues - Forum 1 accommodates ~2000 people
while Forum 2 accommodates ~550 people. Forum 1 is used for
live events such as concerts or comedy shows. Forum 2 is used
primarily for private functions. It's definitely a unique
building!
