We were out early as we decided to go explore the southwestern section of the main park.  We didn’t take any photographs in the Nyathi region in the morning (we did so in the afternoon).  Soon after we entered the Addo region, we found a lovely Black-headed Heron.  It was a real treat to sit beside this beauty and take photographs. It was definitely another Elephant encounter day (as the Park name attests).  Thankfully, the Addo Elephants are some of the most relaxed we've ever been around.  What was amazing about the southwest was seeing the views of the sand dunes and the sea; gorgeous (you'll find those snaps under our "Setting" album)!  Click on the first image to see the creatures we encountered today.
