We stayed at the Satara Rest Camp only one night before proceeding to Makanyi Lodge in the Timbavati Private Reserve.  So, April 21 was both a safari day as well as a driving day in order that we could arrive at Camp in late afternoon.  We took breaks at a couple of other Rest Camps (Swingwedzi and Mopani) on our drive south.  Gaming was again excellent and the highlight of this day was finding a lone female Lion!  On April 22, before leaving Kruger for the Timbavati, we took a final drive.  Ed thought that perhaps we should return to where we had seen the female Lion.  It turned out to be a great hunch as we found a pride of nine Lions there!  We also had great gaming for the entire morning until we left Kruger via the Orpen Gate.  Click on the first image below to see the wildlife we enjoyed.
