We spent two nights at the Skukuza Rest Camp (April 14 & April 15).  We had one half-day of gaming upon our arrival from Johannesburg - basically from the Skukuza Airport to Skukuza Rest Camp.  It's a short distance (less than 10KM) but we did see both birds and mammals.  Then, we had one full day during which we drove to the far south of the Park to a favorite waterhole near the Berg-en-Dahl Rest Camp.  It was a day filled with lots of game viewing.  After enjoying a wonderful visit to Makanyi Lodge in the Timbavati Private Reserve, we returned to Skukusa Rest Camp for two additional nights (April 27 & 28).  On April 27, it was primarily a driving day but we did luck upon a Leopard in a tree along the paved road.  It was actually awake and we were able to get some great shots.  On April 28, we drove along the Sabie River until we reached the Lower Sabie Rest Camp.  We then headed back towards Skukuza on the opposite side of the Sabie River.  Our day was spent primarily seeing browsers, grazers and bird life  Our last drive was on the morning of April 29 before our return flight to Johannesburg.  Again, even in these short period we saw and photographed lots of animals.  Click on the first image below to begin.
