This is the photograph that began the revolution of photography in Thailand.  Once King Rama IV allowed himself and his children to be photographed, photography was no longer taboo. 

In this photograph various young princes are having an elephant ride at the Grand Palace.  The Aporn Phimok Prasat is directly behind the second elephant.  King Chulalongkorn, wearing a cap, is standing by the second elephant.

The Cultural Center also had a display of masks.  Note the handsome guy posing with them!

Here are a group of men playing traditional instruments.  This instruments are still used today in Thailand.

This is a group of young women (some children) doing a traditional Thai dance.

This statute of Buddha is housed in the temple where Prince Mongkut resided during his time of being a monk before ascending to the throne to become King Mongkut in 1851.

This is a shot of Temple Guardians.  This was used as the frontpiece (cover) of a book published in 1870 called The English Governess of the Siamese Court.

This is a beautiful photograph of Wat Arun.  Now it would be difficult to take this snap because of the numerous ferries crossing the Chao Phraya River.

This uncongested river features three styles of Thai Houses.  The center house is the most expensive with the decorative panels.  The house on the right features rough boards nailed together.
