The Embassy Suites Rosales, our home during out stay in Bogota.

This is a typical residential area in Rosales.  Most homes are built of bricks that we were told can withstand earthquakes.  The key difference we noticed from similar neighborhoods in the US is the addition of razor-wire on the perimeter.

This colorful blue house is a private resident on Calle 70.

This collection of buildings is the Instituto Heisenberg.  We assume it has something to do with chemistry or physics but we certainly know Walter White's pseudo (from the television series, "Breaking Bad").

This lovely mall still had its Christmas decorations; nothing like continuing the spirit of the holidays!

This is an example of a typical colonial house which has now been turned into a business. Beautiful architecture!

Tagging (graffiti) is a real problem in Bogota. So, the government now encourages murals as a way to use artistic talent for a good cause. This beautiful Cathedral is Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles de la Pornciuncula located on Calle 72. This Franciscan Cathedral was opened in 1942.
