These Zebra enjoyed a cool-off in the Tarangire River.  It's pretty obvious, right?  Now, they are heading off to graze.

Here's a group of quick-moving Banded Mongooses.

We watched this Leopard lying low in the grass and following some Impala.  However, they got wise and quickly fled.  The afternoon sun was too intense for a chase so this Leopard just gave up.  It will definitely try for a meal once it's a bit cooler.

As she continues walking away, you'll notice that the Zebra in the background are a bit blurry.  That's because they are shaking and starting to move away before she can get any closer.  In fact, they bolted also immediately after this snap.

A beautiful Lilac Breasted Roller - the national bird of each of Botswana and Kenya.  Its colors are amazing!

Take another look....  There are actually two female Lions watching the Zebra.

In the foreground, you see a female Lion hiding in the grass.  The Zebra are relaxed and do not know that she is near.

This baby Elephant is nursing.  How cute!
