This is a majestic Brown Snake-Eagle.  Stunning!

We saw this pair of Ostrich off the S143.  This was the first sighting of Ostrich on our trip.

Here we have a Yellow-billed Hornbill posing in a tree.  They typically move about a lot so this was a nice change in behavior.

This beautiful bird is a Red-crested Korhaan.  Really, really impressive!

We were so lucky to see and photograph this Goliath Heron from the Matambeni Bird Hide near Engelhard Dam.  It's a huge heron with amazing colors!

This beautiful Grey Heron is standing motionless while waiting for a small fish or other tidbit to come its way.

This family is doing well as they have a juvenile chick (it is grey colored at this stage in its life).  Fingers crossed it matures and reaches breeding age (eight years is the typical age for reproduction). 

This bird is a Ground Southern Hornbill.  It is the largest of the hornbills.  While they can fly, the Ground Southern Hornbill is typically found walking on the ground.  They have a long lifespan but due to poor breeding habits as well as lost of habitat, they are an endangered species in South Africa. 

This beautiful bird is a Yellow-billed Stork.

We saw this lovely green bird when we were traveling from the Lower Sabie Rest Camp to Mopani Rest Camp.  We haven't yet been able to identify it but we'll keep trying....
