This small but powerful bird is a Pale Chanting Goshawk.  Like all hawks, it hunts small mammals as well as lizards and snakes.

Finally, a shot of the pair together.

Now we're able to photograph the female Ostrich.  Note how she is much lighter in color than her male counterpart.

As we continued south towards Satara, we saw a pair of Ostrich.  Here is the male alone.

Here's the other Goliath Heron.  It's such a beautiful bird and the lighting here is perfect to appreciate the diverse colors of its feathers.  What a wonderful surprise to see two of these birds!

When standing on the Olifants River bridge, we had the treat of seeing a pair of Goliath Heron!  They didn't get close together for a single photograph of both of them.  So, we took an individual shot of each.  This one appears to have just caught a small fish.

This is a beautiful Tawny Eagle sitting in the morning sun.  Gorgeous!

This dead tree is hosting three Marabou Storks.  Thus, we named, the photograph the "Undertakers Tree".  Marabou Storks are sometimes referred to as "undertakers" due to their appearance - cloak-like wings and back, white skinny legs and a large head. 

Here's a second photograph of this beautiful Eagle surveying its surroundings.  As the name implies, its primary diet is snakes although it also eats small mammals.

Wow, this is a gorgeous Black-chested Snake Eagle.  It's so majestic!
