Here's the dirt road that finally led us to Ninini Point Lighthouse.  It was quite the adventure to find but certainly well worth the effort.  The lighthouse is built of concrete

The owners are so creative!  This surfboard looks great both during the day and at night.  It adds to the overall ambiance at the Inn.

This is a night view of the Garden Island Inn with its lovely blue lights.

Each door and many other items at the Garden Island Inn were hand-painted by a local artisan.  This is one of five wall murals on the property.

Here are some of the flowers growing in the lovely gardens around the Inn.

The lovely Garden Island Inn, our home for seven nights. We enjoyed being on the third floor looking out to the sea.  You can also walk across the street and you're on the lovely Kalapaki Beach and the Garden Island Inn offers free use of beach chairs, boogie boards, toys for playing in the sand, etc., etc.  On an aside, if you look on the roof, you'll see solar panels.  They are found very, very commonly on Kauai.

We're standing on Ahukini Pier, the first concrete pier in Kauai, looking back to the island.  It's beautiful with the sea, the trees and then the mountains in the background.

This is the shore to the left of the Lighthouse  It's very beautiful but definitely not a place you would want to moor a boat.

This airplane has just passed over Ninini Lighthouse and is heading for the Lihue Airport runway.
