Kuki'i Point Lighthouse, our final stop during our southern adventure in Kauai.

This is the Spouting Horn; very impressive!

We're a bit inland near the village of Koloa and these commerative "kii" - standing idols - are in an historic area dating back to the mid-1400's.  Once there was a traditional village at this location.  For now, we can see only the exterior walls but the village is being restored.  It should provide a great deal of information about life in ancient Kauai.

Here we're at a rocky, lava area on Brennecke's Beach a bit farther to the west of Shipwreck Beach.

This is beautiful Shipwreck Beach.  While the beach is amazing, the water is somewhat treacherous due to a strong under tow.  For us, Shipwreck Beach was a great place to walk and enjoy the sounds of the sea.
