This year we began our "Round the World" adventure in Europe. We did so for two reasons.... First, we wanted to be with Marc and Renee to celebrate Marc's 70th birthday at Lough Rynn Castle in Ireland. Second, we didn't want to arrive in South Africa until August so that we could celebrate Ed's 80th birthday there with Ken & Cathy. It all worked out great! We began our adventure in Helsinki where we did some touring with our friend, Jukka. Next, was the birthday celebration in Ireland. After Ireland we traveled to Vienna via Helsinki. We hadn't been to Vienna in a long, long time so the trip to this lovely city was overdue. Lastly, we finished our time in Europe in Madrid, one of our favorite European cities.
