The Tokyo National Museum is the oldest and largest museum of its kind in Japan.  At any one time, there are approximately 4,000 items on exhibit (the Museum houses approximately 110,000 items).  We enjoyed spending a day exploring this huge compound.  Signage in English is excellent so we were able to thoroughly understand what we were seeing.  Click on the first image below to begin.
