Jozani National Park is the only national park of the island of Zanzibar.  Jozani is about 50 square kilometers (19 square miles) in size.  It consists of both a forest area as well as mangroves.  We hired a car to take us to the Park.  The ride wasn't bad except for the terrible traffic that builds up around Stone Town.  Ultimately, upon our return to Stone Town we had to be dropped off near one of the gates into Old Town to make our way back to The Hilton Double Tree on foot.  While at the Park, we saw not only the great beauty of the area, but we were lucky to be able to photograph the endangered Red Colobus Monkey which is found only in Zanzibar.  Click on the first image to begin.
