Today we split our time between the Natural History Museum and the National Museum of Ireland.  Today we skirted St. Stephen’s Green as we headed north to the Museums.  We began at the Natural History Museum.  The museum was built in 1856.  It houses a vast collection of items pertaining to zoology, biology and geology.

The National Museum has a large collection of European art as well as Irish art.  We focused primarily on the works of Irish artists.  There was also a beautiful stained glass collection.  When we finished viewing the items in the Museum, we couldn’t resist taking a photograph of a statue of Oscar Wilde that is found in Merrion Park (the Museum is in Merrion Square).  Click on the first image to begin.

FN:  Tomorrow we are traveling back to Helsinki before leaving for the warmth of Singapore.  Thankfully, the Aircoach Bus is running just outside the door to the Premier Suites.
