The term “Big Five” originally referred to the difficulty in hunting these five magnicient creatures: Lion, Leopard, Rhino, Elephant and Buffalo. These five were known to be dangerous, especially to individuals hunting them on foot. Thankfully, we now use this term only to categorize these animals as being some of the most spectacular to experience while seeing on a safari. Some are fairly common depending on location; while others are extremely elusive. We were once again successful on this trip to Kruger National Park to photograph the "Big Five" albeit with our one Leopard sighting looking like only spots in a tree.
