We decided to return to one of our favorite destinations on a stand-alone trip; that is, we went only to South Africa. We spent the majority of our time exploring the northern regions of Kruger National Park. We then went to a recently opened safari lodge, Makanyi Lodge, in the lovely Timbavati Private Game Reserve.
