We stayed at the Satara Rest Camp only one night before proceeding to Makanyi Lodge in the Timbavati Private Reserve. So, April 21 was both a safari day as well as a driving day in order that we could arrive at Camp in late afternoon. We took breaks at a couple of other Rest Camps (Swingwedzi and Mopani) on our drive south. Gaming was again excellent and the highlight of this day was finding a lone female Lion! On April 22, before leaving Kruger for the Timbavati, we took a final drive. Ed thought that perhaps we should return to where we had seen the female Lion. It turned out to be a great hunch as we found a pride of nine Lions there! We also had great gaming for the entire morning until we left Kruger via the Orpen Gate.
