It's always a treat to see and photograph "The Big Five" - Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Lion & Rhino. Yes, we enjoy all our sightings but this particular group of animals is distinguished as being the most difficult to hunt on foot by big-game hunters. We cannot imagine wanting to hunt and kill these amazing creatures. However, the same term is used on photographic safaris to describe these amazing and often elusive creatures. We were able to see all of the Big Five except the Leopard (it was seen near the Staff Quarters but we never got a glimpse of it). That being said, we had multiple encounters with other members of the Big Five. Click on an image to begin.
