The Lodge and the individual abodes are very beautiful! The main lodge area is open and yet has some private areas for those wanting to induldge in a pre-dinner cocktail or have an afternoon beverage. There's also a great viewing spot which overlooks the area. While we didn't take any photographs of the main lodge, the Sanctuary Makanyane website shows these public areas. We did take photographs of our abode which sits just off the Marico River as do the other abodes (eight total). It was very luxurious and spacious. We didn't spend a lot of time there because we were out on safari, enjoying meals, having an evening cocktail, etc., etc. but it was a wonderful place to unwind even if only for a bit.
