We spent time in mainland China visiting two of our three "Chinese granddaughters" - Yuanyuan and Suting. They both live in Suzhou (albeit in totally different sectors); Suzhou is a 20 minute ride from Shanghai via the high-speed train. Before and after our visit, we spent one night in transit in Shanghai at The Holiday Inn Downtown which is just across the street from the main railway station. Afterwards, we went to Hong Kong to enjoy a few days relaxing before returning to the US. While we did get a bit of touring in, we had to beware of the protests which were taking place on Nathan Road - the road just outside The Holiday Inn Golden Mile. Click on an album to begin.
