Our touring in Siem Reap began on the afternoon of 12 November when we visited Ta Phrom Temple. Ta Prohm’s original name was Rajavihara, meaning “monastery of the King”. It was built as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery and university.  Construction of the temple is dated to 1186AD but is believed to have been added to up until the 13th century.  It was brought to fame by the movie "Tomb Raider" but it stands alone in its beautiful glory.  Click on the first image to begin.
